Apple products outside U.S. are normally more expensive than in U.S. Singapore iPad prices are also higher than U.S iPads.

Let’s see how much Singaporeans pay more to get their iPad.

iPad WiFi prices: Singapore vs. U.S

iPad WiFi + 3G prices: Singapore vs. U.S

The price different is around USD$31 to USD$65, which is 6.2% to 7.8% increased on U.S. iPad prices.

I would say it is still within my acceptable range. I would ask my friend in Singapore to help my buy an iPad, maybe “iPad WiF+3G 32GB”. (Apple products are more expensive in Singapore)

What do you think? Are you happy with the iPad prices in Singapore? Which iPad model are you buying?

  1. I thought the SG price is cheaper than US as I heard from a friend just bought an ipad from US. Probably due to the tax which I think you can claim it back in the airport before you leave U.S.

  2. The SG prices include GST (the Singapore sales tax). If you take it out, it’s only $680 + change for the 16 gb wifi model. Assuming SG$1 = US$0.728, that turns out to be US$496. $3 cheaper.
