Ads in Google Video Clips
As I have expected, Google Video is now testing ads in video clips. You will get a random list of video clips with ads on the Google Video homepage.
Those videos were previously selling from $0.99 to $14.99 each, but now they are offered for free with advertisements. :)

On free videos, a banner ads is displayed above the Google video player. In the example I got is a Burger King ad with a link to its website and Burger King’s ad videos. Plus, the sponsor’s ad video will be played at the end of the free video.
Also, Google intends to let advertisers bid for the video ads displayed on submitted video clips. Advertising revenue would be shared among Google and the video owner.

My two cents
Somehow, sponsored videos by Google Video remind me of TV programs with commercial breaks. With a small banner ad, you can save up to USD14.99 for every paid video. I think it is a good deal.
What actually attracts me is the revenue sharing in user submitted video clips. It definitely encourage people to make more home-brewed videos and upload them to Google Video, instead of its video hosting competitors(e.g. YouTube).
Let’s prepare for video blogging for money! ;)

Mm… that was a great idea! everyone wannt to be a producer now…
