ASUS FonePad, 7-inch Android Tablet that Make Calls Under $300

At Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC2013), ASUS has officially announced ASUS FonePad, a 7-inch tablet phone or phonelet. Read on to learn about the specs and price.
ASUS FonePad is powered by Intel Atom Z2420 1.2 GHz processor. The 7-inch display is 1280×800 resolution. 1GB RAM. 8GB/16GB storage, support microSD card up to 32GB. Unlike Nexus 7, FonePad has dual camera: 3MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.

FonePad specs is quite similar to Nexus 7, except that FonePad is powered by Intel ATOM processor, has 3MP rear camera, and it is a phone! Don’t confuse FonePad with ASUS PadFone (PadFone 2, PadFone Infinity), which is a smartphone with tablet dock. ASUS also has a cheaper 7-inch tablet (can’t make calls) called MeMO Pad.

If you want to have both tablet and a smartphone for under USD$300 (RM1000), ASUS FonePad would be an ideal choice. By the way, get a bluetooth headset too. Covering your face with a tablet to make call looks very stupid.
