The pain

As a full-time blogger, I stay online for long hours each day and use mouse continuously. My mouse pointer probably travels hundred kilometers on screen each day.

Year after year, I start to have “carpal tunnel syndrome” that my fingers feel painful at the end of the day. The pain would only relieve if I rest my palm for 1 or 2 days (no online).

That’s definitely not a good news, especially for people like me who make money in front of computer. While I was thinking for a solution (cushioned mouse pad, keyboard drawer, etc), I received a review product – 3M Futuro Reversible Splint Wrist Brace, and I love it!

3M? Yes, the same 3M company that invented Post-it Notes.

What you get in the package is a brace with metal splint, which can be used on the right or left hand. It uses breathable, moisture releasing materials. There are straps to adjust and fit your palm firmly yet comfortable. Brace gets dirty? Yes, it is washable (hand wash).

I look like I am injured when I am wearing the brace. It limits the movement of your palm and wrist. It took me sometime to get used to it. The metal splint works great to supports your wrist. Thanks to the moisture releasing material, my hand is not sweating even after wearing it for hours.

Does it work?

It is recommended to wear whole day but I only wear the brace while working. After wearing for a few days, I don’t feel carpal tunnel syndrome or finger pain anymore! It works!
