BlackBerry Q5 specs
BlackBerry Q5 features a 3.1-inch 720×720 pixels touchscreen display and a physical QWERTY keyboard with discrete keys. It is powered by Dual Core 1.2 GHz processor and 2GB RAM. The internal storage is 8GB, support microSD card up to 32GB.
Q5 equipped with 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera. Support WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. For selected models, Q5 support NFC and 4G LTE. No HDMI output.
BlackBerry Q5 weights 120 gram with build-in non-removable 2180 mAh battery.
Q5 vs Q10
Based on the specs, we know that BlackBerry Q5 is the low-cost version of BlackBerry Q10 (1st BB10 QWERTY smartphone). Q10 has a faster dual core 1.5 GHz processor, double storage space (16GB) and support 64GB microSD cards. Also, Q10 equiped with 8MP rear camera and support microHDMI output.
Even though both Q10 and Q5 display is 3.1-inch with 720×720 pixels resolution, Q10’s Super AMOLED screen gives better picture than Q5’s IPS LCD.
Q10’s 2100 mAh battery is removable that you can swap it out with a back-up battery pack when battery run low.
BlackBerry Q5 price and release date
BlackBerry Q5 will be available in selected markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin Ameria. The release date expected in the early July 2013. Though no official price yet, we know Q5 will be much cheaper than Q10 (RM2388 in Malaysia).
