OMG! I Love Spam Comments!

LOVE BUG (nestled in a tin of spam)I cannot believe that I am saying this, “Yes, I love spam comments!”. Reading the spam comments make me feel good. Here are some of them:

I truly loved this brilliant article. Please continue this awesome work. Regards, XXXX.

Amazing write-up man, I fully like the look and also the feel of this unique weblog. You write totally well, you should be a aware guy. Will undeniably come back

I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the Internet will be much more useful than ever before.

Following searching Google I found your site. I think both are good and I will be coming back again to you and them in the long term. Many thanks

I can see that you are an expert at your field! I am launching a website soon, and your information will be very useful for me.. Thanks for all your help and wishing you all the success.

Now, don’t you agree that these blog comments are very encouraging? Whenever I feel down or suffer “blogger’s block”, I will read the spam comments. I almost don’t want to delete them from the “Pending Comments” list.

Here is a Quick Way to mass-delete all pending comments at once

Wait. Since these comments only say good words and no link, how do I know it is spam comment?

  1. They are general comments, not related to the blog post.
  2. They include spam link in the author’s URL field.
  3. And, the “Name” field is not a person’s name.

Have you get similar spam comments in your blog? Did you approve them, or even replied the spam comment?

  1. I saw a few bloggers blog about this topic as well but your make it very fun-reading. This is the best and funniest article I read today!

(Sounds a bit bootlicking but certainly not spam a spam comment :-P )

  2. You’re right Liew, those nice words are really flattening. I can be sure those are spam when I wrote back personally to thanks them for their nice word and the mail bounce back.

Even those words are flattening, I still delete them – lol.

  3. I think there is SPAM and SPAM just two different kinds. The fist spam just says something like this: “great post”. The second group of spammers really reads the content but they post instead a real name their keyword but i think if the comment is good eneough i even accept keyword comments. greetings from germany.
