New Facebook App for iPhone and iPad (5.0) is 2x Faster but Still Missing “Share”

New Facebook app for iPhone and iPad (version 5.0) has been released today. According to Facebook, the app is twice as fast as the previous version. Here are the new features:

• Scrolling through news feed is faster than ever
• New banner lets you tap to quickly see more stories – no need to refresh
• Photos open fast and close with one downward swipe
• Instant access to your notifications

Previous Facebook app was slow and laggy, took long time to load timeline, photos browsing was a painful experience. Because it was actually HTML5 app embed inside an iOS app shell. The new Facebook app version 5.0 is, at last, a native iOS app.

I installed Facebook 5.0 on my iPhone 4S and it is indeed much faster than previous version. Timeline loaded faster and page scrolling is very smooth. Photos load faster, the downward swipe to close photo view is handy.

Overall, it is a great improvement. However, there is still one missing feature in the facebook app — Where is the “Share”?

I am not alone. There are already few Facebook users left comments asking about the “Share” feature. I wonder what take Facebook so long time to add the single little thing?
