The case is nicely packaged in a rainbow color box. Once opened, immediately you can smell the leather.

The iPhone leather case is in dark brown and light brown colors. It is nicely cut and sewn to fit iPhone perfectly. The other side of leather is fully printed with Vaja logo to add texture feel.

With hard front and back cover protection, the Vaja leather case has soft leather gently wrap around your iPhone.

The headphone jack and power button are still accessible when the case is closed. There’s open holes for iPhone’s mute switch and volume keys.

The closure is magnetic, easily flip to open/close. The case is dockable, you don’t need to remove the case to charge/sync your iphone.

The review of Vaja leather case “Classic Retro Dockable”

I love the Vaja classic Retro Dockable leather case that fits iPhone, not too tight not too loose, just nice!

When you need to access iPhone, simply flip the magnetic closure. It has no screen protector, you are tapping directly to your iPhone touchscreen.

However, due to the thickness of leather, it is difficult to access (not that impossible) the edge of iPhone screen.

You might not need to access to the screen edge very much. But it happened to me quite often when I was browsing using iPhone Safari or playing games.

In order to make the case dockable, Vaja make the closure to flip upward instead of downward. It is fine until you want to take photo using iPhone:

  1. Flip closure upload to access iPhone.
  2. Launch Camera app.
  3. You notice the case closure is blocking your iPhone camera.

Although you can pull the closure downward and hold it tight in your palm to “unblock” camera but it is quite annoying when all I want is to take a quick photo.

Where to buy?

You can order the Vaja cases online on their website. The price of this “classic Retro Dockable” is USD$80.

Remember, this is a luxurious case.

You can personalize it to be your unique iPhone case: 2 types of leathers to be chosen from, custom colors. Additional $10 to add either text or graphic at the back of the case.

My two cents

If you want a luxury iPhone case which fit and protect your iPhone very well, get the Vaja Classic Retro Dockable leather case. However, you might not want to mind the blocking access to iPhone screen edge and camera.

Which iPhone case are you using now?

  1. Vaja is a bad company with a good website. Their products are mediocre at best and take several months to arrive. They are packaged cheaply, in some sort of gay-pride box. The company charges you a fortune for shipping, but when the package is in country to you, you will have to go to FedEx, pay customs fees, then pay “storage” fees if the package was left there for more than a day. It’s a rip off and appears to be an illegitimate company. They have no listed address or phone numbers. when you attempt to contact them, no one responds, and all you have is email, anyway. They are supposedly an Argentinian firm, you know, with all the great leather. But they are actually somewhere in Miami. Stay away.
