Maxis Launch Malaysia First 4G LTE Service on January 1st, 2013

Maxis 4G LTE

Maxis 4G, the first “real” 4G LTE service in Malaysia, has officially launched by Maxis Berhad (Maxis) on January 1st, 2013.

Maxis customers will enjoy 4G speed up to 75Mbps, with average speed of 10 to 30Mbps. 4G LTE is about 10x faster than current 3G connection. Your connection will switch to 3G if you are not in 4G LTE coverage area.

Maxis 4G LTE is now available in selected parts of the Klang Valley including Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Damansara Utama, Desa Sri Hartamas, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Bandar Sunway and Cyberjaya. Other areas that have partial coverage are SS2, Taman Paramount, Section 17 and 19 in Petaling Jaya, Plaza Damansara, Bandar Kinrara and Taman Wawasan in Puchong.

Interested customers in 4G LTE coverage area can now walk in to Maxis Centers in KLCC and Taman Tun Dr. Ismail to sign up for the service. Subscribe any of the monthly Maxis Wireless Broadband plans of RM88 and above to get the LTE modem at RM400 to enjoy the super speed.
