Malaysian AdSense Publishers are STILL Waiting for Payments (December 2010) [Update: Received!]

Google AdSense Payment in Progress

Malaysian AdSense publishers are frustrated with Google AdSense’s late Western Union payment for December 2010.

AdSense email: Payment Issued

I received email from Google AdSense saying my payment has been issued, but, in the AdSense account, the Western Union payment is still “in progress” since Dec 22.

I understand that Google might had a long Christmas & New Year holiday and payments maybe got delayed.

Based on the previous payment history, payments were issued before or on 27th each month.

But, it is already Jan 3rd, 2011 now! Google, I want my money now!

Update: the late payment issued has been discussed on Google AdSense Help Forum. Apparently, Malaysians publishers are affected.

Update 2: A LowYat.net forum user “sherly” told that Western Union Malaysia closed until Jan 2nd, 2010.

Update 3 (Jan 4, 2011): Just saw a new text on AdSense payment page:

Your December 2010 earnings will be calculated on the first week of January. Please check back on January 7, 2011 for updated payment information.

Well, we have to wait few more days then…

Update 4 (Jan 5, 2011): Google employee “Bertha” responded on forum:

Hi all –

Thank you for writing in to the forum about your payments, and I apologize that we haven’t responded sooner. It appears that publishers in Belgium and Malaysia are experiencing this issue with the “Payment in Progress” message. Please be aware that we are investigating this right now and I’ll update this thread as soon as I have more information!

Best,

AdSensePro Bertha

And, we got the payments!

  1. I hope Sherly is right. But it seems illogical or downright ridiculous for the Western Union Malaysian office to be “closed” from 22nd of Dec until now.

Google posted the “payment in progress” notification to my account since 22nd December. I thought I’d be getting my Christmas pocketmoney, but now it’s now past New Year, and still nothing.

It certainly isn’t funny. Especially when considering that I’ve been using Google Adsense to pay my entire bills for the past 5 years.

I’m quite nervous by this glitch. Largely because I’m seeing an increasing number of crappy autoblog, spammy sites and dubious clicks and tricks used by morons who call themselves Malaysian Adsense guru.

I hope this delay is due to some internal Google problem. And it’s not because they’re thinking of banning us all (Msian publishers) because of these monkeys.

    1. I have read an ebook by a Malaysian so called adsense guru. This person advice is to start a blog, publish 1 free article from any ezine directory a day and repeat the process in 10 days. The next advise is to duplicate the process 10 times by having 10 blogs or more.

The logic this person gives is that if 1 blog with 10 articles can allow him to earn 10 dollars, 10 blogs will easily make 100 dollars.

What kind of advice is this? And have you noticed all those facebook users promise of making thousands just by logging in? Sad!

I am a Malaysian too and still waiting for the payment in progress to change to payment issued. I wonder how long more we have to wait.

      1. that’s definitely NOT a ‘guru-ish’ advice. even a primary school kid can do 10×10. having said that, what matter most to advertisers and Google as platform provider is conversion rate. I’m ok with content spin things (not plain duplicate/scrape) even thou never tried it. mostly what I was doing is selling affiliate stuff and most of the product I’m selling comes with product description and customer feedbacks. there will be duplication when more than one person selling the same product using same default product descriptions. what can I do. sites are there, contents are there, just to gain some extra for petrol, I put an adsense ads.

  2. Google will ban all bloggers from Msia because of too many scams and stupid bodoh people still using wordpress or blogspot instead of using a real domain website

  3. Same here. Google release payment on 22nd Dec and payment show in progress but then the date has change to by 10th January

  4. Just noticed on AdSense payment page:

Your December 2010 earnings will be calculated on the first week of January. Please check back on January 7, 2011 for updated payment information.

  5. They should not do like that. They like not appreciate us. Big company, big name should care their services. Maybe too many people taking leave kot

  6. Liew,

I think you got it all wrong. We’re having problems receiving our November 2010 earnings, not December 2010 earnings. The notification we all saw on our AdSense dashboards is not something new, it has always been there to let publishers know when Google will finalize the total of earnings that we have really earned from the past one month calendar.

  7. Google employee finally responded to our PIP issue in the following thread

  8. This is not the first time I am hearing this, I have seen complaints on Google Adsense before too. Probably the person to blame is the money transfer agent.
