Donates Google Adsense Cheque to Tsunami Victims

We all knew about the earthquake disaster… I am not going to repeat it here. If you want to know more, please follow the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake wiki link.

Today, I heard the radio ad and saw the TV ad on making donation to the victims. I am interested. However, they only accepts cheque donation. I do not have a cheque book. How I wish they give a bank account number so that I can transfer the money into it.

Read JeffOoi blog, I think donating directly to Red Cross is better.

Oh Yes! I will receive my very first Google Adsense cheque soon. It is US$100+. I can donate out the cheque. The money is from you, my dear blog readers. If I made the donation, I just do the good deed for you. :)

How should I make the donation? Our local campaign only accept cheque. The International Red Cross accept only credit card donation. I don’t have both cheque book and credit card…

Believe it or not, I am seeking a way to make a donation…

Thought:
Though I am still waiting for the arrival of Google cheque, I have prepared the same amount for donation. If you know any way to make the donation without requirement of cheque or credit card, please let me know.

If you are a credit card holder, please make your donation to Red Cross:

To donate to “Malaysian Tsunami Disaster Fund”:

Contributions can be sent to the New Straits Times or Berita Harian at Balai Berita, 31, Jalan Riong, 59100 Kuala Lumpur and cheques should be made out to New Straits Times Press Berhad. On the reverse side of the cheque, please write NST-BH Malaysian Tsunami Disaster Fund.”

  1. Our company gathered the donations for Red Cross Red Crescent, maybe u can do so.or you
can just walk-in into SinChew office in Kluang…
If you really wanna donate, you will find the way.

  2. Another thing.. the malaysian online newspapers such as thestar.com.my are just pathetic, for such a large newspapaer you would think that the news would be updated on a rapid basis, but nooo.. looks like the news only get updated once a day. Other online papers were updating every 10 minutes during the first days of the tsunami tragedy. They update with latest deathtoll, latest survivor stories, latest news about missing persons, etc etc… they even have features where ppl can post pictures of missing family members and so forth. They have arhcives of amateur video shot in these areas. Their reportes get news updated online every 10 minutes.. 10 minutes!! Time to get professional ppl at The Star!!

  3. Can you please get my 2 above posts forwarded to jeffooi and others who also may reach influential ppl… i think they should read this. (i dont seem to be able to comment this openly on other blogs)
