Pixart is Now User Friendly on Mac
In my previous Pixart photobook review, I complained that Pixart PhotoStylist software is only compliant with Windows. Pixart heard me! Now, they are accepting PDF files from Apple iPhoto users!
What does it mean?
This is especially for Mac users. Mac users can use Apple iPhoto to create their photobooks before sending them to Pixart for printing. No need to install any softwares.
Mac user can use the beautiful book themes in Apple iPhoto for Pixart photobook.
How to send iPhoto PDF to Pixart?
First of all, you need to use “US Letter” (8.5 x 11 inches) for the “iPhoto book paper size” (File > Page Setup…). Then, save your iPhoto book in PDF format. There are two ways to do it, please read “Save iPhoto Book as PDF File” [Mac Switcher].
After saving your iPhoto book as PDF file, you need to contact Pixart. So that they will give you an FTP account to upload your PDF file. Then, they will send you an email with the price quotation.
Payment can make via credit card or as bank deposit (previously only credit card payments were accepted).
My two cents
This is a good news for Mac users who are already familiar with iPhoto book. Perhaps next time, experienced Windows users also can make their own photo book in PDF format and ask Pixart to print it?
