Mac: The latest stable version of Dropbox for Mac is not compatible with OS X Lion. It doesn’t show Dropbox icon and menu. I found a Lion compatible version of Dropbox download. Read on for details.
Not working correctly in Lion
Everything was running smoothly after my iMac upgraded to OS X Lion until I noticed that Dropbox is not fully compatible with the new operating system.
Though files still syncs correctly but the folder/file icon (indicate file/folder has been synced or not) is missing in the finder. Plus, Dropbox menu (view previous versions, copy public link) is missing in the context menu.
Download Dropbox for Lion
A simple search in Dropbox forums I found the OS X Lion to be compatible Dropbox beta download link. I installed it and it worked perfectly, though it is not the final version yet.
If you don’t mind possible bugs in beta version, you can download it from the Dropbox forums. The latest version while I’m writing is. Check the “ ” tag page for the latest beta version.
