  1. Even though Ubuntu need less powerful hardware, the computer cannot too old and RAM too little also because it will take forever to load :)

    1. As far as I understand, Ubuntu will switch the desktop environment if
user’s computer hardware is not enough power to support the new
      beautiful interface.

  2. I used a dock like that in linux before Ubutnu or MAC OS X had ever came out. Workspaces, thats old Linux tech., that has been around for years too. The only thing that I would think was actually “new” would be the Dash/Spotlight. I don’t remember seeing it before. Figured I would let you know this isn’t new tech. It just has all been put together. Docks…..not invented by MAC. Workspaces/Desktop…..not invented by MAC.

    1. 100% correct.

Linux alt to Spotlight is called — Deskbar you can set it to sit in the very same place where spotlight sits and functions in the very same way.
Anyways kudos goes to Cononical for finally integrating some of these features by default.

  3. @dtigue:disqus Ubuntu is Linux… therefore if you are trying to point out that Ubuntu has stolen it from Linux it completely dissolves your point…
