Beware of “Verify Your TM Account” Email Phishing Scam
MALAYSIA – This is a public service announcement. I received an email from Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) asking help to spread the word about a recent email phishing scam that asks TM customers for their user account information.
The email claims to be from TM with subject titles such as “Verify Your TM Account” and threaten to shut down the user’s account if their account details are not “verified”.
TM would like to clarify that this email does NOT come from TM or any of its subsidiaries. TM would like to advice customers who receive the scam email message to delete it immediately, NOT to respond and DO NOT click links in the email.
If you have been contacted by anyone on this matter, please immediately report and verify this by calling TM UniFi Centre at 1–300–88–1221 for UniFi customers or call TM Customer Support Centre at 100 for TM Streamyx customers.
