Visit Kuala Lumpur (November 2007)
I am going to Kuala Lumpur (KL) few hours later. The main purpose of the tour is the post-celebration of my younger brother’s birthday. Then, shop for some gadgets, and attends a few local events at coming weekend.
Post-celebration of brother’s birthday
My younger brother will receive an Apple iPod nano as his 19 year old birthday present. I plan to have a walk at KL Golden Triangle with him, watch a movie, and perhaps a luxury dinner in the newly opened Pavilion KL. I’ll do my gadgets shopping, too!
Gadgets shopping
As mentioned in previous post, I will buy a wireless broadband router with modem, probably the Linksys WAG200G. It is recommended by the readers. Plus, my younger brother is using it in KL as well!
Beside the router modem, I would buy a graphics tablet. The model should be Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet (A5 size). The listed pricce is $699 MYR ($208 USD).
Why a non-art blogger buy a graphics tablet? Well, you may not know that I like drawing a lot. It was my greatest hobby before I have a computer. Now I can afford a graphics tablet and I think it is a cool idea to turn my drawings into digital format. Looking forward for LiewCF’s drawings, huh? ;)
By the way, Wacom graphics tablet can do much more than only “drawing”. Check it out.
Local events, many!
There are a few events for this coming weekend. As I promised, I will attend the Webmaster Gathering at KL. Somehow, I have become 1 of 5 reasons why you should be there. There will be 30+ people gather at StarBucks, KL Sentral at Saturday afternoon. Talk to me if you meet me, don’t ask my income. :P
Besides, eBay Malaysia has an event to celebrate its new web look at 1Utama Shopping Mall. There will have RM65,000 worth of MOL cards to be given away to 1,000 lucky winners! All you need to do is print out your ebay account’s personal information and present it at their booth. Some eBay experts will be there to give talks and answer your eBay questions.
For chinese book lovers, don’t miss the 9th World of Chinese Books Fair held at MIECC, Mines Resort City from 16th to 25th November, 2007. Not sure I have the free time to visit or not. It is a great chance to get great books at discounted price.
So, that’s my KL tour plan. A great weekend, isn’t it? :)
P.S. You can spy me at LiewCF twitter page.
