WiredPod – Another Malaysian Blogger Hits by Lawsuit
WiredPod, a Malaysia technology blog has been hit with a lawsuit from Wired magazine. Previously, the author of visa.com.my was forced to give up the domain name and website due to a Visa International lawsuit.
Yeah, it’s just a “wired†+ a “podâ€, and I’ve got a blardy lawsuit from some big corporations attorneys, who has job is to find make the world a more “messier†life for folks like me. I still think that this is ridiculous.
WiRED.Pod Has Been Hit With A Lawsuit
My two cents
I never did relate the words “wiredpod” with “Wired magazine”. To me, “wired” is a common word, so instead, “wiredpod” reminds me of Apple’s “iPod”. :P
Are lawyers making money by surfing the Internet and sending out warning emails to innocent webmasters? Snatching their domain names and closing down their websites by one simple email message?
What can individual bloggers do to protect ourselves? In my opinion, choose a unique name and put a disclaimer message on every page.
(I gonnna update my Mac Switcher site…)
