Lenovo Malaysia Launches Yoga Book 2-in-1 Tablet and Phab 2 Tango Smartphone
Lenovo Malaysia launched Yoga Book, the thinnest and lightest 2-in-1 tablet and Phab 2 series which includes the world’s first phablet that supports Google Tango technology.

Yoga Book, 2-in-1 tablet with drawing pad
Yoga Book is a 2-in-1 tablet with a Halo Keyboard and a Real Pen dual-use stylus that can write on both paper and tablet.
It is available in two operating system (OS): Windows 10 (Home or Pro) and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The hardware specification for the two OS are identical, except Android model has a nano SIM slot and supports 4G LTE.
The 2-in-1 tablet is powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor, 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB storage space. It supports microSD card up to 128GB.
Yoga Book tablet consists of two part, the Screen and the Create Pad (keyboard). They are connected by Lenovo signature 360-degree watchband hinge.
Screen is 10.1-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display with AnyPen Technology. You can use any pen or pencil or object with a sharp tip to write on it. However, it does not detect pen pressure like the Create Pad.
Create Pad is a flat smooth black surface where you draw or take notes using the bundled Real Pen stylus. It is touch-enabled with EMR Pen Technology that can detect 2,048 levels of pen pressure.
You can write and draw on a piece of plain paper on Create Pad and your notes and sketches will be instantly digitised into the tablet.
Halo Keyboard appears and disappears with a touch of a button, allowing you to switch between typing and sketching. The flat keyboard gives haptic feedback and word prediction when you are typing.
Yoga Book thickness is 9.6mm and weight 690 gram. The built-in battery is 8500 mAh Li-ion Polymer, which gives you up to 15-hour battery life.
Phab 2 Pro, world’s 1st Tango-enabled smartphone
Phab 2 series smartphones include Phab 2 Pro, Phab 2 Plus, and Phab 2. Phab 2 series is 6.4-inch phablet.
They have triple array microphone with active noise-cancellation and Dolby Audio Capture 5.1 surround sound recording.
Phab 2 series support dual SIM cards. Battery capacity is 4050 mAh, only Phab 2 Pro supports fast charge.
Phab 2 Pro
Phab 2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone powered by Google’s Tango technology. It enables the device for motion tracking, depth perception, and area learning. For example, you can download various Tango app to measure your furniture, envision an added sofa in your living room or watch dinosaurs roam the streets again.
Phab 2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, supports microSD card up to 128GB. The display is 6.4-inch Quad HD 2K resolution with 2.5D curved glass.
16MP rear camera with Depth Sensor for Tango and Motion Tracking Sensor for Tango. Front camera’s resolution is 8MP.
The phone also supports Dolby Atmos for audio output.
Phab 2 Plus
Phab 2 Plus is powered by a MediaTek (MTK 8783) octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It does not have Tango technology.
The display resolution is Full HD. It has dual 13MP F2.0 rear camera and 8MP F2.2 front camera. Phab 2 Plus supports Dolby Atmos for audio output.
Phab 2
Phab 2 is the basic version of Phab 2 series. It is powered by a MediaTek (MTK 8735) Quad-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It does not have Tango technology.
The 6.4-inch display is only HD resolution. Phab 2 has 13MP PDAF fast-focus rear camera and 5MP wide angle front camera.
Pricing and Availability
Yoga Book is bundled with Yoga Book sleeve, Real Pen and Book Pad. It will available at all Lenovo Exclusive Stores from end December 2016 onwards. The Yoga Book (Windows or Android version) price in Malaysia is from RM2,599, inclusive of GST.
Phab 2 series smartphones are bundled with a protective clear case. They will be available at selected Lenovo Exclusive stores and Lenovo Multi Brand Stores from mid-December 2016 onwards:
