AdSense Trick: Numeric beside AdSense Ads
We knew images beside AdSense ads can increase CTR dramatically, but we must implement it very careful. Google does not allow publishers to use symbols or misleading images that direct attention to the AdSense ads.
Generally, it is fine if you are using some unrelated images with visible border beside AdSense ads, as shown in this post. However, the following ad implementation is NOT VALID.

Screenshot of AdSense ads implementation with numbers in the image. An invalid ad implementation.
What’s wrong with the ad implementation?
I must admit that it looks neat and nice. But, the mistake is the numeric characters in the image. It tries to trick people to think that it is a list of links. This is a no-no.
My two cents
I would suggest replace the numeric characters with some meaningless images or colors. Yes, the CTR will dropped. Well, better to be safe than sorry, right?
As I always advice… if you have any creative ad implementation, please first send a copy(either URL or screenshot) to Google AdSense team and ask for advice.
Good luck!
I use the same trick using the adsense-deluxe in e-kereta blog
May I have the image please? I saw it on someone’s blog, but forgotten the URL to it. Wanted to have a try on it :)
I would advice everyone do NOT try the example shown in the post.
Liew, Have you check with Google Adsense team weather this integration is valid or not? I understand what you are saying and agree with your however I would like to know if you checked with google or not just confirm its really invalid.
@Internet Marketing Malaysia: Yes, I checked with Google AdSense team before I wrote this post.
I’m currently using the Adsense Beautifier WordPress plugin.

How was it? Any better images to replace that boring one?
