Genting Online Room Booking Failed to Process Credit Card Payment
I was trying to do online room booking for the Genting trip with my friends after Chinese New Year in the coming February. The Genting online payment processing system failed to proceed my credit card payment after I submit all the necessary information.
After waiting a couple of minutes, the connection has timed out.

I tried 3 times in 2 hours but still getting the same thing. I can’t help but wondering what’s wrong with their online system.
By right, I should be redirected to the “Verified by VISA” page (I use Visa credit card) and then complete the payment process.

“Verified by VISA” is an added protection for VISA credit card’s online transactions.
“Well, perhaps the system does not work 24 hours?”, I tried to make a reasonable excuse for them. I will try the Genting online room booking for the last time a few hours later (daytime).
If it fail again, then I have to call to book (603-2615 9838) and pay extra RM10 of handling fee. Argh!
I miss the time when we can book Genting room first and pay later at the counter. Currently, eGenting only accepts online credit card payments for all online bookings.
It is fine for me to pay in advanced by credit card, but please make sure the online payment system works 24/7!

P.S. I sent an email to Genting WorldReservations Centre regarding the error. Let’s see whether they read or trash it.
Updated: I have received call from Genting and they offer me phone booking without RM10 charge, then followed by an email reply from the eGenting system admin.

Genting always advertise those cheap online booking, but when i do search the room, always show finish or not available, even is a off peak season…
according to them, only few percent of room are sell cheap, and most of them already book by their agent…
I have the same experience as Icalvyn.
No seat for you to book.
Maybe as just few percent are sell cheap.
that sucks, call them up and do it over the phone.
