What You Should Know about AdSense CPA Ads

What is new about the AdSense referrals?
We have been using AdSense referrals for Google products such as Firefox with Google toolbar, AdSense, AdWords, and Google Pack. The new AdSense Referrals beta is CPA advertisements for non-Google products from AdWords advertisers. In short, it expands AdSense publishers’ earning potential.
How does publisher get paid?
You will get paid when your visitor click the CPA ad to visit the advertiser’s site AND complete an action defined by the advertiser, such as a sale or sign up. Unlike current AdSense CPC ads, you do not get paid if your visitors click the ads only.
3 Steps to create AdSense Referrals Beta CPA Ads
Unlike CPC ads, you have the choice to select the products you want to advertise for AdSense Referrals CPA ads.
- Select the keywords, products or services you want to refer — Keywords, Google will rotate the ads that match your selected keyword. Product/Services, you select up to 15 products to refer on your site. Regardless of keyword or product, Google will rotate the ads and display the best performing ad for your site.
- Customize ad unit — AdSense Referrals CPA ads support all current AdSense Image Ads formats, as well as text links. Similar to AdSense ads, you can customize the ad colors and custom channel.
- Copy and Pates the ad code — Once done setting the referrals ad, you copy and paste the ad code to your page as usual. You can place TWO referral units Per product or keyword on A given page. You can refer unlimited number of different products or keywords.
No Search Engine Marketing allowed
You may not use search engine marketing to purchase traffic for the specific and sole purpose of generating conversions, unless you have the express permission of the advertiser.
No non-U.S. publishers and users (early beta stage)
Sad but true, current AdSense Referrals beta is only available to English-speaking publishers located in the United States. Non-U.S. users will see your referral unit BUT you will not be paid for conversions from users outside of the U.S., unless enabled by the advertiser.
